Real Recognizes Real

Do you think marketing is one of the most precious parts of the American culture? NOT! In fact, it’s one of the worst.

Some people say, “Marketing is such a great thing. It helps me find all the good foods.” But in reality isn’t it helping you find all the bad foods? All the sodas, burgers, fries, nuggets, and hugs are what I’m talking about. And I know ya’ll know what I’m talking about. Why are those foods the easiest to find in your neighborhood? Have you ever stopped and asked yourself that question? Why is it that when you walk to the corner store you can find every beverage except a 100% fruit juice? Why is it that when you walk to the corner you can a find a world of fat, saturated, greasy, unhealthy, foods, but you can’t find a good bag of grapes or strawberries, or even a simple carrot?

Could the answer to your question be that you’re black? Or maybe it’s just because you live in a black or urban neighborhood. Either way, you should be able to walk to the corner and find as many fruits and vegetables as anyone else. But most of us aren’t recognizing that. Real recognizes real and so far all we are recognizing is the “fake”. And we’re recognizing the fake because that’s all that’s available to us and I find that to be a problem! Come on ya’ll. We got to think about this deeper, and not just think but ACT!

Take a quick minute right now and comment on this post. Tell me what you think should be done and use your power to do something!
